Meridian Council Salon Dinner Series, Entrée to Dialogue: “A Sustainable and Equitable Planet”

Exploring the realm of environmental stewardship, Meridian International Center, in collaboration with the Embassy of Monaco, curated a fireside chat on February 27, 2024, to tackle global environmental challenges and highlight the pivotal role of international collaboration, education, and technology.

Guided by The Honorable Jane Harman, Chair of the Commission on the National Defense Strategy, the discussion combined perspectives from Dr. Ellen Stofan, Under Secretary for Science and Research at the Smithsonian, and Monaco’s Ambassador to the USA & Canada, Her Excellency Maguy Maccario Doyle. Together, they explored strategies for fostering a sustainable planet, drawing insights from research spanning oceans, terrestrial landscapes, and space exploration. Additionally, the dialogue shed light on Monaco's commitment to environmental stewardship and its remarkable journey in the "space race."

The evening culminated in a dinner where attendees continued to exchange ideas, fostering a dynamic and enriching conversation.
