2023 Meridian Culturefix Awards Ceremony and Gala

On Friday, June 2nd, Meridian held the third annual Culturefix Awards Ceremony and Gala as part of Meridian’s daylong celebration of cultural diplomacy. Following a private viewing of the For Freedoms exhibition in White Meyer House, the Awards Ceremony honored four awardees – Hank Willis Thomas, Denyce Graves, Svitlana Onipko, and Felipe Jácome – for their ongoing commitments to using the arts and culture to unite people around the world and contribute to greater international cooperation on shared global challenges.  

The ceremony was emceed by CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins and featured special performances from Billy Gilman, Madison Hilligoss, Symone Harcum, and Myroslav Mykhailenko. Ambassador Stuart Holliday, Culturefix Chair Sue Hostetler Wrigley, Stephanie Robinson, Elizabeth Duggal, and Fred Hochberg gave remarks. 

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed an al fresco dinner in Meridian House’s Linden Grove.
