U.S. Speaker Series: Transatlantic Voices – U.S. Commitment to Europe

U.S. Speaker Series: Transatlantic Voices – U.S. Commitment to Europe is sponsored by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France. The program is designed to connect U.S. experts with audiences and institutions throughout Europe, increase the understanding of U.S. foreign policy and economic priorities related to Europe, advance economic growth in both regions and worldwide, and further U.S.-European understanding and cooperation on shared cultural, political and economic values. The program addresses a wide range of subjects, from Women in Defense and Security with Michele Flournoy and Ret. Admiral Michelle Howard to the Wonders of the Ocean with Dr. Tierney Thys. The program highlights the enduring ties of the transatlantic relationship and the multi-faceted relationship the United States has with Europe by sending American experts to various countries in Europe to engage with audiences through lectures, workshops, and seminars and through appearances in local media.

Through this program, Meridian has organized the visits of seven American experts to various countries throughout Europe including, Austria, Estonia, France, Lithuania, Malta, and Spain and, over the past two years, has also hosted some 20 webinars organized in partnership with numerous U.S. Embassies. Additionally, Meridian helped organize “United with Ukraine” virtual speaker series hosted by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs (EUR), the Bureau of Global Public Affairs (GPA) and the Rapid Response Unit which was widely shared by numerous U.S. Embassies in Europe and throughout the world.
