2023 IVLP Impact Award Project: E-Export School - Online WebinarsUkraine

Yuliia Pavlenko is the Director of the International Operations Department responsible for international operations at National Postal Operator, Ukrposhta. She is also a leader in UkrainePost's growing international business, driving cross-border product development, building partnerships and new solutions with postal & logistics players across the globe.

In 2016, she initiated the E-Export school program with the aim of providing Ukrainian entrepreneurs with tools to launch online stores on international marketplaces. More than 200 free open events have been held in offline and online formats since then. The E-Export project was highly praised by international experts and won at once in two nominations at the prestigious "World Post & Parcel Awards 2019" (Dublin, Ireland): "Postal Technologies for E-commerce" and "Socially Responsible Programs."

IVLP Impact Award Project: E-Export School - Online Webinars

Through this project, Yuliia conducted 10 free webinars to help develop and support small entrepreneurs and businesses in Ukraine that produce and trade goods through ecommerce platforms. She was dedicated to educating two groups: 1) internally displaced artisans, designers and manufacturers of handmade goods who were forced to leave their place of residence and to relocate their businesses but need to build a new production chain and to set up sales and 2) local entrepreneurs and manufacturers that already have experience of selling through online stores in Ukraine but have not yet entered the global market.

Each webinar featured a different expert in the field and covered different topics including how to successfully market products on eBay, Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, and other platforms. On average, each webinar had about 1,100 people registered and about 4,000 people watched either the live feed or the recorded version on YouTube. Overall, the webinars reached about 44,000 total viewers, which is about three times more than expected in the original proposal. Attendees of the webinar have shared overwhelmingly positive feedback and confirmed that the knowledge that they learned from the webinars have either expanded their business’ reach or inspired them to integrate new methods into their work.

“The webinars are the most comfortable educational videos (without exaggeration) that I have watched. They are always well-structured, and, most important, you can immediately apply everything in practice. Now I have an understanding of every step, from creating a product to finding a platform and adapting it to the markets.” - Webinar attendee
