Michael Avila is the founder of StartUp Honduras, an initiative to foster a technology startup ecosystem in Honduras and the Central American region. He wants to empower entrepreneurs in business and entrepreneurship education to start and grow global businesses that will create more jobs, strengthen global connections, and boost the Honduran economy. He has founded several tech ventures since 2011 including @Hondurapps, a local business and tourism blackberry app; @Ranking Play, a sport fan platform; @classludi, an educational platform; @FundersHN, an equity crowdfunding platform; and @StartUp Honduras. Michael is a member of Emerging Leaders of Honduras, the Global Entrepreneurship Network, Social Entrepreneurs Group, ADHD aware, and Coffee Connections.
