Mack Slaughter graduated from George Washington University in May of 2021, with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Peace Studies. He concentrated in Comparative Political, Economic, and Social Systems. He was previously a Program Associate on the IVLP Team. Prior to joining Meridian, Mack served as an intern in the Office of the President at Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services. In this role, he researched current events and legislation impacting refugees and migrants, and drafted op-eds and bi-weekly advocacy alerts for the communication team. Mack previously interned for the Global Peace Foundation, Institut National des Études Territoriales, the Carolina Refugee Resettlement Agency, and served as a Campaign Fellow for Kathy Manning for Congress. Mack studied abroad at the University of Strasbourg and is proficient in French.
