IVLP Impact Award Project: Sharing the Experience of IVLP Fellows

This project centered around a one-day conference in Chișinău which fostered cross-border investigative journalism by sharing the experiences of IVLP alumni with Moldovan journalists and activists. The main part of the conference featured three international trainers, IVLP alumni from Malta, Slovakia, and Uzbekistan, who led a panel discussion on investigative journalism, documentational techniques, case studies and their IVLP experiences. The conference concluded with a Q&A session and networking opportunities for participants. The conference's primary objectives were to promote cross-border investigative journalism and provide Moldovan journalists and activists with valuable knowledge and tools. The conference was conducted in English and Russian, catering to the bilingual proficiency of most Moldovan journalists. By creating this platform for the exchange of knowledge and for networking, the project contributed to the development of investigative journalism in Moldova and enhanced collaboration on critical issues across borders.

Through her conference on cross-border investigative journalism, Liuba reached 50 investigative journalists, several from high-ranking Moldovan media institutions. Civil society representatives and journalism students were also in attendance.

"This motivated me even more and made me understand that what I am doing is good, I must also motivate those around me to make investigative materials, to continue making social materials, because we can change things, we are a hope for the citizens of our country." - Project Participant
