IVLP Impact Award Project: Minority Rights Guaranteed Under Article 30(1) of the Constitution of India

Jose's project raised awareness among minority communities about their constitutional rights, such as how to set up an educational institution or NGO. Jose held six in-person trainings with at least 80 attendees at each session in various regions around India (Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Chandigarh, Ambala and Delhi) as well as five virtual sessions, with around 1,000 attendees at each session. The project empowered the participants to take action to claim their rights as minorities. One participant predicted that "The impact [of the project] on minority rights in India will be wide and long lasting, as the materials and presentations provided during the sessions are excellent."

"The IVLP Impact Award project on minority right in India is truly a blessing as far as the empowerment of religious minority communities, especially from the grassroot level."- Project Participant
