IVLP Impact Award Project: Tambrin Learning Virtual STEM Summer Camp

The Tambrin Learning Virtual STEM Summer Camp project engaged students over summer vacation and introduced a fun learning experience in the STEM fields. The virtual camp focused on developing skills such as robotics, coding, entrepreneurship, innovation and web design. It also offered college advising for students aged 13 to 19 years old.

50 campers worked with 4 partner organizations to learn about opportunities in the STEM field and fast-track their learning because many did not have access to STEM information before. Campers were introduced to how to write software codes, build robots, design websites and gained new career skills. At the end of the two weeks, the children built a website for a new product and gained a better understanding of new career options.

"The camp was very fun, and I learned new skills in coding. " - Project Participant
