IVLP Impact Award Project: DECO-LEADS

The DECO-LEADS project, designed to enhance leadership skills among schoolteachers, successfully enrolled 493 participants. The online course was balanced in geographic and gender diversity, with an equal 50% representation from rural and urban areas, and a 50% female participation. Over 8 weeks of meetings, discussions, and quizzes, 170 teachers successfully completed the course. The remaining participants are continuing their learning journey independently, accommodating their individual circumstances and ensuring no one is left behind in this educational endeavor.

By implementing the strategies and techniques learned in the course, teachers have helped their students develop essential leadership skills, such as decision-making, communication, and problem-solving, which will benefit their future academic and professional lives. Course participants were encouraged to support and mentor student-led projects and initiatives that address local needs and challenges, fostering a sense of civic responsibility and community engagement among students.
