The fundamental purpose of this project was to continue strengthening the inclusion of women in the new wave of entrepreneurship in Cuba. The project sought to promote the financial education of 25 women entrepreneurs belonging mostly to the hospitality sector, to help them promote and develop their businesses.
Participants were able to put into practice the knowledge and tools acquired during the project, engaging actively in the financial life of their businesses, and envisioning future financial steps for their ventures.
After the workshops, all the participants said they were better prepared to manage the finances of their businesses. Many have made long-lasting connections with at least five establishing client-supplier relations.
Diana was a participant in the IVLP Project Entrepreneurship as the Engine of Prosperity and Stability - Small Business Development, organized by the U.S. Department of State and Meridian International Center.
