Ms. Boosara Kanchanalai has served as Minister to the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. and Deputy Chief of Mission since September 2018. Prior to this position, she served as Deputy Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand. Her other previous overseas assignments included Deputy Consul-General to the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou, China; Minister-Counselor to the Royal Thai Embassy in Malaysia. Her first assignment in the United States was during 1994-1997 which she served as Consul at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York City.
