Akintunde Akinmade

Akintunde Akinmade (Tunde) returns to Meridian from Graduate School USA where he served as an International Visitor Leadership Program Officer and Social Media Coordinator. After beginning his IVLP career as a Meridian Program Associate, in 2013 Tunde went on to pursue opportunities in the Communications field.  He worked as a Senior Fellow at Fenton Communications, managing several accounts, including the Vietnam Peace Commemoration Committee, and providing monthly social media reports for Johnson & Johnson Global Health Division’s Twitter account. With his strong background in social media management, Tunde served as an Alfred Fleishman Fellow at FleishmanHillard, assisting with media monitoring, outreach, research, and corporate communications for clients such as the Secretariat for Social Communication of the Presidency of Brazil (SECOM) and Friends of the USA Pavilion Expo Milano 2015.

During his time at Meridian, Tunde welcomed over 500 international visitors from over 60 countries on the International Visitor Leadership Program. He holds a master’s degree in International Media from American University, and a bachelor's degree in Government & Economics from St. Lawrence University.
