IVLP Impact Award Project: Enhancing the Digital Transformation of Civil Society Institutions in Jordan

This project centered on a series of workshops that were organized to enrich participants' cultural and technical proficiencies to effectively engage in the digital public sphere. These workshops specifically targeted women and youth in remote and impoverished areas of Jordan, seeking to enhance their digital participation through the transformation of civil society into the digital realm.

Through a series of workshop and podcast training sessions, 40 Jordanians from underprivileged and remote regions received training on active citizenship skills, digital transformation, and the role of podcasts in amplifying voices and marketing to civil society. The 40 participants included 20 women and 20 youth engaged in public affairs and civil society organizations.

The project placed special emphasis on leveraging the podcast industry as a means of amplifying their voices and fostering meaningful dialogue. Following project completion, several participants created digital blogs and podcast episodes to showcase their institutions and discuss citizenship and civic engagement.

“Podcasts have become the most powerful means of raising people’s voices.” - Project Partner
