The SET program in Burkina Faso empowered 31 students in sustainable entrepreneurship and coding to tackle social issues in three domains: good governance and democracy, environment protection, and education. Abdoul conducted training and coaching sessions, creativity workshops, and a pitch competition. The program selected three impactful projects promoting values such as civility, tolerance, peaceful conflict resolution, gender promotion, community wellbeing, entrepreneurship, and innovation. As a result of the program, several participants now want to launch entrepreneurial ventures and community outreach initiatives leveraging the skills and knowledge gained during the training sessions.
Abdoul was a participant in the IVLP Project, Entrepreneurship as the Engine of Prosperity and Stability - Small Business Development Program, organized by the U.S. Department of State and Meridian International Center.
Abdoul's exchange experience led to the development of his IVLP Impact Award Project: "During my stay in the United States through the IVLP, I had a great experience during my visit to Boise State University and the University of California, where I learned how these universities accompany students to create innovative and impactful projects to solve social problems."
