MERIDIAN EXTENDS ITS IMPACT, UNVEILS THE MERIDIAN CENTER FOR CORPORATE DIPLOMACY TO STRENGTHEN INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION THROUGH THE PRIVATE SECTOR

October 20, 2023

Washington, D.C – Meridian International Center announces the launch of the Meridian Center for Corporate Diplomacy. The Meridian Center for Corporate Diplomacy represents a pioneering endeavor to harness the growing power of the private sector to advance diplomacy and international collaboration on the most challenging issues of our time. This initiative comes as the world faces an increasingly complex geopolitical environment and intricate cross-border relationships.

The Meridian Center for Corporate Diplomacy launched at the 12th Annual Meridian Global Leadership Summit on Friday, October 20, 2023 in Washington, DC.

As diplomacy evolves, Meridian is helping to shape its future -- and the future of diplomacy depends on greater cooperation among the private sector, government and civil society.

Through convening, executive education, and exchange programs for business leaders, the Meridian Center for Corporate Diplomacy will serve as a platform to:

  • Accelerate collaboration on shared global challenges from sustainability and supply chains to trade and emerging technology
  • Navigate increasingly complex geopolitical business risks and opportunities
  • Strengthen America's global competitiveness

Meridian International Center is a nonpartisan, nonprofit diplomacy center with the vision that greater understanding and collaboration between the United States and the world leads to a more prosperous future for all. Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Washington, DC, we have long served as a place where global leaders gather, future leaders are found, and international collaboration thrives. We believe we are stronger at home when globally engaged, so our mission is to strengthen engagement between the U.S. and the world to find solutions to shared global challenges. We do this by partnering with the U.S. government, the private sector, and the diplomatic community on four core pillars of focus in our work: global leadership, diplomatic engagement, culture, and corporate diplomacy.
