International Visitor Leadership Program
Alumni Engagement Initiative

This spring, the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) engaged over 120+ alumni representing 70 countries from the fields of civic engagement, volunteerism and activism. As part of the U.S. Department of State Salon Series, IVLP alumni reconnected with U.S. experts to discuss various challenges in their fields brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Alumni had the opportunity to share their perspectives in panel discussions on topics like Leadership & Activism in a Global Pandemic. In addition, to promote global volunteerism, the Office of International Visitors launched the #IVLPVolunteers campaign for IVLP participants and stakeholders to take a pledge to volunteer in 2021 and pay it forward.
