On December 16, 2022 Secretary of State, Antony Blinken officially launched the new Office of China Coordination. “China House” is a key component of the Secretary’s modernization agenda, which is focused on equipping the Department to meet the challenges and seize the opportunities of the decade ahead.

Deputy Assistant Secretary, Mark Lambert was tapped to head the office in September 2023 and has assumed responsibility for this critical diplomatic assignment. The Meridian Corporate Council is eager to host DAS Mark Lambert, who will provide his insights on the work the bureau is doing to navigate the intricate web of economic interdependence, strategic competition, and diplomatic challenges, defining the bilateral relationship.
