The World Post-COVID: The Role of the OECD & Trans-Atlantic Cooperation with OECD Secretary General-Candidate, Cecilia Malmström

The Meridian Corporate Council will host Cecilia Malmström, OECD Secretary-General Candidate and Former EU Trade Commissioner, for a virtual discussion on the future of the multilateral relationships with the OECD and a broad range of topics for 2021. With a great number of challenges ahead in 2021, the conversation will revolve around the ways the OECD can support its member countries, her priorities if nominated for the Secretary-General position, and her vision for keeping the OECD relevant moving forward.

Ms. Cecilia Malmström is currently a Visiting Professor at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. She served two terms as European Commissioner (2010 – 2019) at the European Commission after her nomination by the Swedish Prime Minister and confirmation by the European Parliament. She served as a Minister in the Swedish Government in 2006 – 2010 and was a member of the European Parliament 2004-2006.
