Understanding Washington: U.S. Trade Policy Training

Thursday, March 21, 2024

Meridian will provide a first in class trade policy training to foreign diplomats from the Washington diplomatic corps, specifically targeting economic ministers, commercial development officers, officials from multilateral organizations, and sector leads to understand and navigate the various contours of trade policy in the U.S. government. This training will not only focus on the high-level policy aspects of trade policy development and execution at the federal level, but also practitioner-focused training. Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP will serve as lead facilitator on content and delivery of this training session.

The Meridian Center for Diplomatic Engagement hosts the monthly Diplocraft series of programs for diplomats to hear from and interact with organizations and individuals on the front lines of the political, social, security, and economic issues in Washington and beyond. This series includes policy deep dives, peer networking opportunities, and navigating Washington seminars.
