Meridian will convene a bipartisan, cross-sectoral dialogue on the Biden Administration’s liquified natural gas (LNG) policies and the tough balance of environmental protection, energy security and global energy demand. The discussion will build on Meridian's 2021 program Just Energy: In Pursuit of a Fair Global Energy Transition Balance.  Speakers will delve into the impact of the recent pause on pending approvals of LNG exports on U.S. relations with allies in Europe and Asia within the context of the larger geopolitical and energy-security landscapes. It will also highlight the outsized role that LNG is expected to play in any successful energy transition away from coal.

The Meridian Center for Diplomatic Engagement hosts the monthly Diplocraft series of programs for diplomats to hear from and interact with organizations and individuals on the front lines of the political, social, security, and economic issues in Washington and beyond. This series includes policy deep dives, peer networking opportunities, and navigating Washington seminars.
