Diplocraft: Reel Economies: Prosperity Through Film

In partnership with Netflix and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Meridian International Center will host, “Reel Economies: Prosperity through Film,” to explore the remarkable multiplier effect of screen industries on economic growth. The program will share research from Netflix and the IDB's joint 2023 report “The Economic Impact of the Screen Industries Latin America,” and will convene economic, trade, and commercial counselors and attachés alongside counterparts from the multilateral, nonprofit, and private sectors and select Meridian partners to deepen understanding of the far-reaching impact of screen industries on economic development and how to best harness the data to strengthen the capacities of audiovisual industries.
