Meridian Holds First Virtual Networking Reception

On Thursday, July 9ththe Meridian Center for Diplomatic Engagement hosted its first Virtual Networking Reception. Focused on international trade and global economic revitalization, the reception featured special remarks from Peter Haas, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs; and Diane Farrell, Acting Deputy Under Secretary for International Trade.

The approximately 20 attendees comprised a mixture of economic counselors, trade attachés, business leaders, and U.S. government officials. While not the same as an in-person reception in Meridian’s Linden Garden, the evening included remarks from our speakers, and allowed attendees asked questions, watch a brief video, engage in discussion, and forge connections. Meridian looks forward to hosting additional online networking sessions in the coming months on a range of themes. If interested in attending or learning more, please send an email to MCDE@meridian.org.
