Top Chinese Students Learn the Essentials of Global Leadership at the Meridian Global Leadership Institute

Twenty Chinese high school students participated in a global leadership development program at the Meridian Global Leadership Institute, as part of China Top Scholars (CTS), a highly selective program organized by WorldStrides. In GLI’s dynamic 3-day experiential-learning program, Leadership Essentials for Students, the students focused on three critical areas: Developing Global Perspective and Cultural Intelligence; Developing Personal Leadership Skills; and Solving Problems through Collaboration and Innovation.

An integral part of GLI’s learning and assimilation process is the development of collaborative and team-building skills. To this end, the students worked in small groups to develop a "Leadership Backpack" - a framework identifying resources, skills, and tools with which they will continue to develop as global leaders. Each student was also required to identify and share one area in which they will take immediate action to develop and apply their new leadership awareness and capability.
