The White House Foreign Press Group’s Annual Reception

On April 27, Meridian had the pleasure of hosting a celebration of the impact and contribution of foreign journalists. This cocktail reception was hosted by the White House Foreign Press Group in partnership with the Rising Leaders Council of Meridian International Center.

The White House Foreign Press Group is a group of leading correspondents from around the world covering the White House with a focus on foreign policy. The White House Foreign Press Group members work to strengthen relations with the administration as well as with the diplomatic corps and push for increased access and visibility for the foreign press.

The Meridian Rising Leaders Council is a network of mid-career professionals in Washington, DC, who come together for a substantive exchange of ideas in support of Meridian’s mission of strengthening international cooperation through diplomacy, global leadership, and culture.

The reception featured a special performance from Suspicious Package, dubbed as "the house band of official Washington".

Attendees of the reception included foreign Ambassadors, foreign diplomats, foreign journalists and press, Rising Leaders Council members, as well as a host of guests from The White House.

Special thanks to TV Globo, Al-Arabiya News, HP, The Beer Insitute, and the White House Foreign Press Group for their generous support of this event.
