Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI)

  • To examine federal, state, and local government and private sector policies and mechanisms to promote women-owned businesses;
  • To focus on challenges and barriers to women entering business such as access to credit, or scaling up a business;
  • To introduce participants to personal financial management; planning, and investment;
  • To learn about educational and extracurricular activities that encourage interest in finance, economics, and business development from primary school, masters’ degree, to continuing professional education; and
  • To understand the impact of technology and access to information to impact small businesses.
