Honduras Natural Gas Infrastructure Reverse Trade Mission and Business Briefing

August 13 – 17, 2018
Houston, Texas and Washington, D.C.

USTDA is hosting the Honduras Natural Gas Infrastructure Reverse Trade Mission. The delegation, including representatives from the country’s energy secretariat, regulator, and national electric utility, will travel to the United States to meet with U.S. natural gas and LNG suppliers, plant operators, technology providers, manufacturers, and service providers. The visit will focus on project planning and infrastructure solutions for small- to medium-scale gas terminals and power generation facilities. The topics of discussion will feature licensing, regulations, competitive tenders, and gas infrastructure in the U.S.

Honduras is making plans to invest in its energy infrastructure, especially power generation projects. With coastal deep-water ports, LNG import terminals with storage and regassification could readily access U.S. natural gas reserves through natural gas liquefaction terminals. The itinerary will feature meetings with U.S. businesses, site visits, and in-depth discussions of best practices and financing mechanisms that support small- and medium-scale gas infrastructure project implementation. As part of the itinerary, USTDA will host a Business Briefing with U.S. companies in Houston on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
