Global Business@Meridian Downtown: Thailand

Meridian held an installment of the Global Business@Meridian downtown breakfast series on February 11, 2014. Hosted by Maria Pica Karp, Vice President & General Manager, Government Affairs, Chevron, the program featured His Excellency Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United States. Key themes of the session included the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), Thailand’s political crisis, the Asia Pacific Regional Trade Agreements, and the overall U.S. – Thailand bilateral relationship, which spans more than 180 years.

Ambassador Vijavat Isarabhakdi was accompanied by Mr. Perapat Uthaisri, Minister Counselor, Office of Commercial Affairs, and Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Minister Counselor, Ms. Panalee Choosri, First Secretary. Corporate Council Members in attendance included: Chevron, AT&T, Inc., Barclays, Booz Allen Hamilton, Caterpillar, Inc., DCI Group, ExxonMobil, Fluor, Gallup, Turkish Airlines, and Visa, Inc., along with corporate guests from 3M, JPMorgan Chase, Lockheed Martin, Alcatel-Lucent, CH2M Hill, and Wiley Rein LLP.
