CAMEX U.S. Elections Reporting Tour

The CAMEX U.S. Elections Reporting Tour brought 9 journalists in March 2020 from Central Asia to promote the spread of democratic values by showcasing the United States’ democratic transition of power through U.S. elections. The group travelled to Washington, D.C., Charlotte, North Carolina, and Detroit, Michigan where they attended presidential candidate rallies surrounding “Super Tuesday” primary elections, canvassed with volunteers, and participated in briefings to explore American democracy in action.

The CAMEX U.S. Elections Reporting Tour was funded by the U.S. Department of State through the Central Asia Media Exchange Program (CAMEX) and implemented by the Foreign Press Center and Meridian International Center.
