Borders without Boundaries: Cultural Connections between Mexico and the United States

On Wednesday, February 3 Meridian, in partnership with The Embassy of Mexico and The Mexican Cultural Institute celebrated the Bicentennial of Mexican Independence by hosting a panel conversation Borders without Boundaries: Cultural Connections between Mexico and the United States with H.E. Arturo Sarukhan, Ambassador of Mexico; The Honorable Dana Gioia, Poet, The Aspen Institute; and Jesús Silva-Herzog Márquez, Essayist and Professor, ITAM, Mexico.

The discussion was held in Meridian’s Cafritz Galleries, which are currently displaying Rufino Tamayo And The Mixografía® Years (1974 – 1990): A Cross Border Journey. The panel was the latest activity in an ongoing Art for Cultural Diplomacy partnership between Meridian and Mexico.
