Renee Perper joins Meridian with a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Middle Eastern Studies from Claremont McKenna College. A recent Boren Fellow who studied in Oman, Renee served as a Student Federal Service Intern on the Arabian Peninsula Team for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Conflict Stabilization Operations where she helped evaluate counter-terrorism messaging against al-Shabaab. Additionally, Renee served as a Research Assistant at The Wilson Center and the U.S. Institute of Peace, working with Middle East expert Robin Wright on Iran and the politics of Islamist groups.
