IVLP Impact Award Project: The Overlooked Backbone of Society

The Overlooked, a comprehensive photographic project, put 10 working women of different ages and religious and social backgrounds, in the foreground and has given them a voice. With the help of Mankica’s lens and her artistic photographic interpretation, she put female workers at the forefront by presenting their personal and unique stories in this comprehensive photographic project. The project gave a voice to those who are overlooked and reveal the real heroes we usually forget to credit. Subsequently, the project connected this multifaceted topic with several different multidisciplinary fields, including the search for an understanding of gender differences. The gathered portraits and stories were presented and exhibited in Ljubljana.
