YLAI Professional Fellows Program, Class of 2016

Kajal Ashna Mahepal is the Founder and CEO of Foundation Young Help Suriname, which strives to equip Surinamese youth with the tools for success. They also initiate and execute projects for Surinamese youth in support of the Global Sustainable Development Goals. She has served as a Senior Sector Coordinator for the Suriname Government’s Ministry of Finance in their Department of Planning and Development Finance. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Science from the Erasmus University Netherlands and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Anton de Kom Universiteit van Suriname.
