Isabella Parrotta

Associate Program Officer @ Meridian

Isabella Parrotta is an Associate Program Officer at the Meridian Center for Global Leadership (MCGL) where she has helped support its Customized Exchanges (CE) division since August of 2021. Although primarily working on the Journalism and Media team’s Foreign Press Center Programs (FPC), she has also implemented various U.S. Embassy and corporate diplomacy projects.

Isabella first joined Meridian as a Program Coordinator and Senior Program Coordinator before transitioning into her current role. Prior to Meridian, she implemented the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) at MCID Washington. A 2019 Global Ties U.S. Emerging Leader, she was also an IVLP intern at World Learning and the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI).

Isabella is a 2019 graduate of American University in Washington, DC where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with double minors in History and International Business. While at university, she focused on the role of identity, race, gender, and culture in international relations, particularly symbolic landscapes and their impact on community identity formation and conflict justification. Isabella also studied at Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland and is currently pursuing an MA in Public History at American University with a focus on modernity, tourism, and the imperial gaze in visual and material culture. She speaks English, Italian, and French.

 

 

Isabella Parrotta
