2022 IVLP Impact Award Project: Lessons and Trainings on Photography Skills for Deaf People in UzbekistanUzbekistan

Husniddin Ato works in the field of photojournalism in a combination of artistic and documentary photography. His photographs and works are regularly published in local and foreign media, as well as in print and online publications. ​Husniddin is the founder of the first non-governmental photo agency PressPhoto.Uz, which is specializes photojournalism. During his career, he has photographed for organizations like the UN, UNICEF, UNDP, UNESCO, and USAID. ​A special place in Husniddin's work is devoted to the cultural life, traditions, rites, and ethnography of Uzbekistan and other countries. 

IVLP Impact Award Project: Lessons and Trainings on Photography Skills for Deaf People in Uzbekistan

The project's goal was to teach photography skills to 10 deaf students and empower the deaf community through practical lessons. Topics include perspective, lighting, exposure, camera settings, photographer's ethics and primary editing of photographs. The project aimed to provide opportunities for professional development by having member of the deaf community participate in trainings.
