Fabian Jacott is the co-founder of the Codeforsu Foundation which strives to teach and motive Surinamese students to learn the necessary coding skills to compete in the digital age. In 2013, he introduced the Hour of Code concept, a one-hour tutorial of computer science and coding, to Surinamese schools. Through Mr. Jacott’s efforts more than 5,500 Surinamese students have been introduced to computer science and coding. He is also the founder of Suriname Online Education Center (SOEC), an easily accessible online platform that promotes an alternative e-learning environment that brings 21st century learning skills to the Surinamese.
