Claudia Paredes graduated from the University of Havana in 2013 with a degree in Computer Science. She is an Instructor of Artificial Intelligence and Statistics and Master’s student of Optimization in Mathematics at the University of Havana. After winning first place at the Havana Startup Weekend, she founded Mi Escaparate, an e-commerce service which aims to help Cuban citizens acquire affordable clothing. Ms. Paredes mentors Computer Science students at the university and gives motivational talks to high school students.  She is very active in her local community and is currently organizing a series of informational workshops for other young entrepreneurs.
