Beatriz Azevêdo de Araújo is the Founder and President of Verdeluz Institute, a Brazilian environmental NGO aimed at reconnecting humans and nature. Verdeluz coordinates projects that raise environmental awareness and engage youth in their community. Beatriz has also worked as a lawyer for the Planning Department of the Fortaleza Municipal Government and for the Secretary of the Environment of the Ceará State Government. She received a Postgraduate degree in Environmental and Urban Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais and her Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Federal University of Ceará.
