Andrew Barbagallo

Program Officer @ Meridian

Andrew Barbagallo currently serves as a Program Officer in the Meridian Center for Global Leadership, where he designs and implements capacity building and leadership programs for the Center’s youth and education program portfolio. He is also responsible for supporting the Center’s business development efforts. Andrew first joined Meridian as an Associate Program Officer in February 2018 and previously implemented the Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Global Student Leaders program, during which he coordinated programming for 100 undergraduate students from 20 countries. He has also designed programming for various U.S. missions abroad. Prior to Meridian, Andrew served as the Senior Program Specialist at Graduate School USA administering the financial, logistical, and administrative aspects of the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program. 

Andrew graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Italian Studies from The Ohio State University, where he also taught Italian language courses. During his studies, Andrew had the opportunity to travel abroad to Italy twice to facilitate and participate in language-intensive study abroad programs. He is fluent in Italian and proficient in Spanish.
