<p>Palemon Howard Dorsett and William Joseph Morse traveled through China, Japan, and Korea between 1929 and 1932 for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The purpose of their expedition was to study the planting, cultivation, and harvest of soybean varieties, and to send samples home to the United States for further research.</p>
