<p>In 1995, the United States and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam normalized relations and opened a new chapter of cooperation and contacts. Twelve years later, acclaimed documentarian Ken Burns and Lynn Novick began a decade-long film project, <em>The Vietnam War</em>, a series which explores the human dimensions of the war through testimony of witnesses from all sides.</p>
