Summary of Position:
Meridian is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented House Manager. Reporting to the Director, Facilities, this position will have direct responsibility for supporting meeting and event activities, house scheduling and logistics, and upholding Meridian’s aesthetic, maintenance, and customer service standards.
This role is responsible for staff scheduling, proper set-up of events as determined by the Events team, resource planning, execution, and quality control aspects. This includes personnel scheduling and performance management, event materials management, vendors and logistics, and other duties as assigned. The House Manager coordinates all event logistics, liaising with the Events Team, Maintenance and Operations (M&O), and other departments across campus, as well as interfacing with external vendors. Hospitality/banquet management, customer service, and communication skills are essential. This position is focused on ensuring events are successfully implemented, no detail is left unaccounted for, and the guest experience is forefront of mind.
This position is located in Washington D.C. on 3 contiguous acres with approximately 75,000 sf of historic building space. Meridian requires MD, DC, or VA residence for all employees. Effective January 4, 2022, all Meridian staff are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless a reasonable medical or religious accommodation is approved.
