Elections Networking Event: Engage with American Voters Outside of the Washington Beltway

Monday, October 19 | 7:30PM EDT

The Meridian Center for Diplomatic Engagement is pleased to host a conversation connecting foreign diplomats based in Washington with voters in Denver, Colorado on October 19th from 7:30-8:30 PM EDT.

As opportunities for members of the foreign diplomatic corps to engage directly with American citizens outside of the Washington area have cut down significantly in the wake of the pandemic, Meridian is partnering with WorldDenver to provide an opportunity for a candid discussion of the major issues in advance of the election. Conversation will focus on the priorities for voters in the local, state, and federal elections and perspectives on Colorado’s mail-in voting process. Diplomats from Washington will be encouraged to share their own experiences of electoral processes in their home countries, as well as how the American election is being reported on abroad.

The program will be closed press and off the record. For more details and registration information, please contact Katherine Boyce, Director of the Center for Diplomatic Engagement at mcde@meridian.org.
