Cultural Programs and Exhibitions Fellow

Description

Meridian International Center seeks a Cultural Programs and Exhibitions Fellow to support the Meridian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (MCCD). This Fellow will be involved in the day-to-day operations of cultural programs and exhibition development by designing exhibition and program materials; providing in-depth research for exhibitions, programs, and grant proposals; and determining, writing, and editing content for a range of communication vehicles. Meridian Fellows enjoy a broad educational experience and have a genuine impact on the work of the institution.  While the MCCD team is small, its responsibilities are vast, presenting many learning opportunities through active collaboration with staff members. Meridian is a nonpartisan diplomacy non-profit that strengthens engagement between the U.S. and the world through over 500 programs a year. This position will be remote until further notice, but D.C., Maryland, or Virginia residency is required.

Requirements

All candidates must possess:
  • Working towards undergraduate degree in Arts Administration, Museum Studies, or related fields; graduate degree preferred; or any equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Familiarity with archival research and exhibition development is a plus.
  • Strong inter-cultural communication skills; maturity, cultural sensitivity, and tact suitable for working with individuals from around the world.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative Suite.

Pay: This position pays $15.00 per hour.
