 Summary of Position:

The Associate, IVLP Collaborative Services (CS) supports Meridian’s administration of the IVLP CS award, which is carried out in conjunction with the Office of International Visitors in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. Under supervision of the Project Director, and in conjunction with the full CS team, this position is responsible for participant support, administrative, logistical, and financial arrangements of award activities. The Associate also supports collection of project impact data and stories.

This position is located in Washington D.C. and Meridian requires MD, DC, or VA residence for all employees. The position may work partially remotely until further notice. Effective January 4, 2022, all Meridian staff are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless a reasonable medical or religious accommodation is approved.

**This position is contingent on continued grant funding.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with a team to administer the IVLP Collaborative Services Award activities, which includes support for: IVLP Impact Award Initiative Program; In-House “On Demand” IVLP Projects, including the Virtual Global Classroom Initiative; Language Services capacity building and workshops; In-House “On Demand” IVLP Projects, including the Virtual Global Classroom Initiative
  • Manage, disburse, track, and reconcile authorized funds associated with the program activities.
  • Manage participant and support partner communication.
  • Carry out procurement for services and goods.
  • Arrange logistics, including virtual and in-person programs, events, and workshops, and reconcile costs associated with any travel.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets.
  • Support grant reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and promote project impacts for communications, social media, and reporting.
  • Responsible for completing all organizational administrative responsibilities in a timely manner and meeting all organizational administrative deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • Or, any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams is necessary for this role
  • Experience with Canvas, Zoom and Salesforce is helpful
