Regional Asia: Waste to Energy Biomass Reverse Trade Mission

Meridian implemented a Reverse Trade Mission (RTM), sponsored by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, to showcase the best U.S. products, equipment, technologies and practices that can contribute to infrastructure development and the expansion of clean energy in Southeast Asia. Public and private sector officials from the waste-to-energy and biomass sectors in Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines traveled to Washington, DC, Seattle, WA, and Sacramento and San Francisco CA. The RTM featured meetings and site visits with U.S. companies and government organizations to learn about policies, regulations and financing mechanisms that can facilitate U.S. company participation in the Southeast Asian business sector.
