Danish Ambassador Lars Gert Lose Headlines Global Dialogue Dinner on Trade, Security and Presidential Politics

On May 19th, 2016, Meridian partnered with Hess Corporation to host a private salon-style dinner for His Excellency Lars Gert Lose, Ambassador of Denmark to the United States. The event was held as part of Meridian’s Global Dialogue Series, which are off-the-record facilitated conversations on issues of global importance.

On the heels of President Obama’s Nordic Summit, the dialogue revolved around various aspects of U.S-Denmark relations from the refugee situation in Europe and Denmark’s counter-ISIS strategy to global trade and the value of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP). There was also spirited discussion on the U.S. presidential race with comments from presidential campaign pundits: Ben Ginsberg, Kevin Madden, and Doug Sosnik.
