Zachary Adams (Zach) joined Meridian in May of 2015 as a Program Associate shortly after he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's degree in both Global Studies and Political Science. Throughout his undergraduate career, Zach was active on UNC's campus and in the global community. He also formerly served as an intern with International Focus, Inc., the Global Ties Community Based Member in Raleigh, NC, where he assisted in developing itineraries for the International Visitor Leadership Program, training and interviewing students for their respective internships, and organizing their annual International Festival. Following his tenure with International Focus, Inc., Zach served as a Cultural Affairs Intern at the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires, where he advised two scholarship students on how to interview and apply to American universities, coordinated events for International Education Week, and documented the results of embassy-initiated events. Zach now serves as Meridian's Resources Information Officer, which requires him to oversee information management related to the International Visitor Leadership Program and provide support to the IT and Communications departments for website development and hardware administration. He is conversant in Spanish.
