Britlan Malek

2013_malek[1]Dr. Malek is a clinical psychologist at Children’s National Medical Center. She specializes in developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder in young children. She serves on the Board of Starlight, Mid-Atlantic, a non-profit serving children with chronic and terminal illnesses. In addition, she is a Trustee of the River School, a DC-based early childhood school (infant to grade 3) which provides ground-breaking education and clinical services for children with Cochlear Implants and hearing aides to develop functional hearing and speech through pairing with hearing peers and expert staff. She volunteers with many local children’s causes. She has been a long-standing supporter of Meridian International Center. She earned her BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her doctorate from the George Washington University. Dr. Malek resides in DC with her husband, Fred, and their children.
