Meridian’s President and CEO, Ambassador Stuart Holliday, opened the Summit followed by welcome remarks by Summit partner, Andrew Gelfuso, Vice-President, Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA). Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez, Chairman of Meridian and Chair, Albright Stonebridge Group delivered remarks on the demands for global leadership in the current context and importance of cultural understanding. Secretary Gutierrez declared, “It’s hard to imagine being a global leader and not having a sense of cultural understanding and cultural differences. Leadership in the 21st century is all about having a sense of and respect for cultural differences.”
